The Saint Louis Symphony Chorus has been an indispensable part of the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra since its founding in 1977 by then music director, Jerzy Semkov and its first director, Thomas Peck. The Chorus quickly rose to the level of one of our nation’s premier orchestral choruses. Members of the chorus come from all walks of life and represent a broad spectrum of both the St. Louis Community and nearby cities and towns. Under the direction of Amy Kaiser since 1995, the chorus is composed of 140 members and performs annually on a variety of orchestral season concert series and holiday programs.
The chorus rehearses on Tuesday nights and auditions are held periodically throughout the season.
