Mexican Donut

Violinist Lorraine Glass-Harris asked me backstage after the La noche de los Mayas rehearsal, “You’re going to write something wonderful about the Revueltas, aren’t you?”

Probably the most wonderful thing I can say is what Lorraine told me, how the orchestra is taking such joy in playing this piece. It’s vibrant and raucous and fun, and there’s a lot of smiling and laughter happening on stage.

You can catch the vibe tomorrow morning (with coffee and a Krispy Kreme donut), and Saturday night. The holiday decorations are up in the hall and they all seem to go with the music.
