Around the Hall

|

Monday I took an afternoon walk in the St. Louis humidity and saw:

the new molecular structure hanging on the art wall adjacent to the parking lot; the tall green and yellow whirligigs stationary in the dead summer air;

more red carpet in heaps; inside the crew was up in the balcony taking out more old carpeting in preparation for the new;

from across the street on Grand I could view the painters through the windows touching up the window sills by chandelier light;

as the Circus Flora tent was coming down in the east parking lot, the elephant munching on hay and wondering when it was going to head out of town.
