Daring Do

|

I don't know which is the greater example of David Robertson's sense of daring:

1) He co-conducted an all-Stockhausen program at the BBC Proms on Saturday

or

2) That he then traveled with his whole family (Orli, the twins, the teenage sons, Milo the Powell Hall Pooch) from London to Sydney.

Stockhausen in London and then pack up the kit and caboodle and fly to the other side of the world. Not for the faint of heart.

Orli plays Mozart Piano Concerto No. 21 with the Sydney Symphony, August 14; David conducts the orchestra in a very David-sounding program "The Color of Time," with music of Debussy and Messiaen, August 22, in case you have plans for a visit to Australia while it's winter down under.
