Stopping at Shrines

|

Now the SLSO takes the show to Carnegie Hall as part of the China Festival: Ancient Paths, Modern Voices. I'm holding the Powell Hall fort, so I've asked a few folks to keep me updated.

With a little time in between the last concert and the first Carnegie rehearsal, some of the musicians made some alternate travel plans. Cellist Bjorn Ranheim passed through Louisville to visit a friend and is now en route to NYC.

The Harrises, Heidi and Erik (associate concertmaster and principal double bass, respectively), are already on the town. Erik writes: "Heidi and I arrived yesterday (Monday) sans children, are making the most of this 'working/romantic' weekend.  Dinner last night at Gascogne, a cute French restaurant in Chelsea, looking forward to lots of walking today through Central Park to the Guggenheim, stopping first at that holiest of shrines, Barney's."
