Make plans to join us for the 38th annual Gypsy Caravan on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31, 2010 on the campus of the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL).
Since 1973, the Saint Louis Symphony Volunteer Association has presented one of the largest antique, craft and flea markets in the Midwest. This year, up to 25,000 people are expected to enjoy the unique atmosphere of this festive event.
There will be more than 300 outdoor booths in UMSL parking lots C and E and, new this year, 72 covered, lighted, garage spaces in the Millennium South Parking Garage. Vendors come from as far away as Texas, Florida, and Louisiana and will be selling something for everyone: antiques, collectibles, crafts, jewelry, furniture, clothing, imports, yard art and more. Delicious food and beverages are also a part of this holiday tradition.
For the first time this year, Gypsy Caravan attendees will receive an Event Guide with maps, vendor lists, and other helpful information to help shoppers find just the thing they are looking for. The $5 entry fee ($20 for early-bird shoppers, 7–9am) goes to support the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra and its education and community programs.
The University of Missouri-St. Louis campus is conveniently accessible from both I-70 and I-170, has ample free parking, and is easy to reach by car, MetroLink or MetroBus.
For the enjoyment of all Gypsy Caravan participants, no weapons, pets, bicycles, rollerblades, or skateboards are allowed within the exhibition area.
Gypsy Caravan is presented by the Saint Louis Symphony Volunteer Association with the cooperation of the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
