Frances Tietov joined the St. Louis Symphony in September 1970. Prior to her appointment here, she was harpist with the National Ballet Company, the Pennsylvania Ballet and was Principal Harp with the American Symphony Orchestra under Leopold Stokowski. Ms. Tietov studied with Marcel Grandjany at the Juilliard School of Music and received her bachelor’s degree from the Curtis Institute where she was a pupil of Marilyn Costello.
