Haruka Watanabe has been a member of the first violin section of the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra for many years and has appeared as a soloist with the orchestra. He has also served as the principal second violinist with the Kammergild Chamber Orchestra for 17 years, which he helped organize in 1978. He founded the Appassionato String Quartet in 1989, which gave numerous concerts in St. Louis area.
