Jenny Lind Jones

First Violins

Jenny Lind Jones studied with Ivan Galamian at the Curtis Institute and with Joseph Gingold at Indiana University where she was awarded a bachelor of music degree, a master of music degree with highest distinction and a performers certificate. During her student years, she was a member of the Jordan String Quartet, which during her tenure won the international Coleman Chamber Music Competition. After completing her studies, she joined the St. Louis Symphony in 1972. She has appeared as soloist with the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra and the Chicago Civic Orchestra in Chicago and has performed extensively in the Chicago area.
