From casual to elegant, intimate to grand, Parties of Note offers you the chance to gather in some of St. Louis’ greatest homes and establishments to enjoy a variety of themed parties throughout the year. Accessibility. All parties are handicapped (wheelchair) accessible unless otherwise noted. Because some of the parties are given in private residences, not all hosts are able to accommodate guests with special needs.

The Wedding Party

Dressed in your wedding attire, it’s a reception you won’t soon forget. Sure to be a perennial favorite, the Parties of Note committee along with Sam Orlando invite you to enjoy dinner (yes, it’s Mostaccioli, green bean casserole and wedding cake) and dancing to the music of the Motown band, “Souled Out.”

Meet Me at the Fair
World’s Fair Luncheon
Tour a home built in 1904 and originally owned by oil tycoon, William Cullen McBride. Other occupants of the home were Stan Kann and Phyllis Diller. Stan Kann once hosted a party for Johnny Carson in the late 1960’s, with over 400 people in attendance. This home has also been
featured on HGTV’s “If Walls Could Talk” and KSDK’s “Show Me St. Louis.”

KDR (normally open to the trade only), along with the other showrooms of the Interior Design Center of St. Louis, invite you to take advantage of a special shopping opportunity. From June 18 through August 1, 2009, for purchases made by attendees of the kickoff event, the IDC Showrooms will generously donate 10% of sales in support of the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra. Your purchase is music to their ears.
