SAINT LOUIS SYMPHONY
ORCHESTRA CANCELS
ITZHAK PERLMAN CONCERTS SCHEDULED FOR JANUARY 20 & 22
St. Louis, Jan. 14, 2005 – Due to the current
work stoppage we have decided to cancel concerts scheduled for
Jan. 20 & 22, 2005 with guest conductor and violinist Itzhak
Perlman. “Under the circumstances we thought it would be best to
notify our patrons as early as possible about the cancellation
of the concerts,” said Symphony president Randy Adams. “With the
Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday on Monday, large attendance
expected for the concerts, including many groups and out-of-town
concertgoers, we wanted to make this decision well in advance,”
Adams concluded.
Patrons holding tickets for those concerts may
exchange their tickets for another concert or receive a full
refund -- please see the
Information for Ticket Holders webpage for more
information. No additional concerts have been
cancelled at this time. We apologize to our loyal subscribers
and patrons for the inconvenience.
