SAINT LOUIS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD OF TRUSTEE MEMBERS
ST. LOUIS, March 21, 2005 – The Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra announced today the election of four new members to the Board of Trustees. The new members include; Barry H. Beracha, former Chairman and CEO of Earthgrains and former CEO of Sara Lee Bakery Group, Rodney J. Boyd, private practice lawyer and former member of the City of St. Louis Counselor’s office, Gordon W. Philpott, M.D., Emeritus Professor of Surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine and Rex A. Sinquefield, Co-Chairman and Co-Founder of Dimensional Fund Advisors, Inc. In other board news, Harvey A. Harris, Chair, Executive Committee, The Stolar Partnership and Mabel L. Purkerson, M.D., Professor Emeritus of Medicine, Washington University School of Medicine were elected for a third, three year term. In addition, Virginia V. Weldon, M.D. and Wilfred R. Konneker were appointed Honorary Trustees.
