For Immediate Release
This week, Robertson – accompanied by violinist Deborah Bloom and SBC Missouri President Cynthia Brinkley – conducted a fun, yet inspiring program with the kindergarteners at Dunbar Elementary School. With music and words combining in a captivating blend, the duo presented the book Mole Music – with the magically resonant message: “Music can change the world.” The in-school visit, which took place in Dunbar’s “Symphony Room” is part of an ongoing education program in which the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra sends musicians into the schools for more than 100 educational sessions each year. The program is partially funded by SBC Communications, which recently gave a $1 million gift to the Symphony. |
