(April 17, 2019, St. Louis, MO) – The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra brings a supernatural dimension into Powell Hall as it performs the exciting score to Ghostbusters on May 17-18, 2019, while the film plays on the big screen. Patrons are invited to arrive early to take photos with costumed characters and see a replica of Ecto-1, the Ghostbusters' car.
In the film, a team of scientists become "ghostbusters" and stumble upon a gateway to another dimension, leading to an attempt to save New York from complete destruction. Described as "epic," "dazzling," and "entertaining," Elmer Bernstein's score to Ghostbusters quickly became a classic after the film's release in 1984.
