Chris Botti, Grammy Award-winning trumpeter, returns to perform with St. Louis Symphony Orchestra for one night only

(October 4, 2018, St. Louis, MO) – Grammy® Award-winning trumpeter Chris Botti will return to perform with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra for one night only, blending the sounds of pop jazz with the SLSO on Friday, October 26, 2018.

Chris BottiAn internationally-known instrumentalist, Botti (pictured left) has sold more than four million albums worldwide. Most recently, he won a Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Pop Album for Impressions. The New York Times describes Botti as having a "trumpet sound that suggests the softer side of luminosity."

Botti is one of several guest artists slated to appear with the SLSO as part of Live at Powell Hall during the 18/19 season. Other guest artists include Tony Award-winning actor/singer Leslie Odom, Jr. (December 2, 2018) and Tony Award-winning actress/singer Sutton Foster (February 23, 2019). Since 2010, the SLSO has hosted more than 150 Live at Powell Hall concerts: from movies like Singin' in the Rain, Harry Potter and tributes to the movie music of John Williams, to tribute concerts and one-night-only performances with award-winning guests including Nelly, Ben Folds, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Idina Menzel.
