The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra presents Disney Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas

(October 15, 2018, St. Louis, MO) – The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra performs the score live to its second film of the 2018/2019 season: Disney Tim Burton's inventive stop-motion classic, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Danny Elfman's colorful score comes to life as the SLSO performs as the film plays on the big screen at Powell Hall November 2-4, 2018. Tickets are still available for this Halloween classic, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
The Nightmare Before Christmas follows Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, on his quest to seize Christmas with the help of some mischievous trick-or-treaters. St. Louis native Ken Page, who voiced Oogie Boogie in the film, will introduce the performances at Powell Hall.

Since 2010, the SLSO has hosted more than 150 Live at Powell Hall concerts: from movies like Singin' in the Rain, Harry Potter and tributes to the movie music of John Williams, to tribute concerts and one-night-only performances with award-winning guests including Nelly, Ben Folds, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Idina Menzel. Upcoming films the SLSO performs live include Home Alone (December 14-16), Star Wars: A New Hope (January 24-27, 2019), Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (April 12-14, 2019), and Ghostbusters (May 17-18, 2019).
