Digital Tiny Tunes

Now you can join the SLSO from wherever you are with free, on-demand Digital Tiny Tunes. These digital performances blend orchestral music and children’s literature into an interactive concert experience that gives early childhood and kindergarten student the opportunity to dance and play along with SLSO musicians.

Registration grants you free access to the on-demand Tiny Tunes digital concert experience which includes a 30-minutes concert video and accompanying activities designed to prepare students to participate in the music making. Prior experience in music education is not required to successfully implement related activities. On-demand access will be available until July 31, 2024.

Educators can now access all digital education programs through one registration form. Families are welcome to register for these programs for use at home by selecting “home school parent” on the registration form.

Giraffes Can’t Dance

Giraffes can’t dance… yet. Learn and grow with Gerald the Giraffe as he overcomes adversity, discovers his talents, and finds music that inspires him to dance. Beloved music from Camille Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals brings the story of Giraffes Can’t Dance to life as students make music with the SLSO.

Based on the book Giraffes Can’t Dance by Giles Andreae, illustrated by Guy Parker-Rees.

The Lion and the Mouse

Two unlikely friends—the mighty lion and the little mouse—take us on an adventure that proves even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference. Familiar tunes from Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt bring the story of The Lion and the Mouse to life as students dance and play instruments along with SLSO musicians.
