Alexander Tung

Alexander, age 15, is a rising sophomore at Brentwood High School. This is his second year with the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra and his ninth year playing violin. Throughout these years, he worked his way up through the various orchestras of the Community Music School of Webster University and spent 4 seasons in the Preparatory Program. He has been a recipient of the CMS Artistic Merit scholarship multiple times. Alex was a first violin in the Missouri All-Suburban Orchestra, 2022/23 Missouri All-State Orchestra, 2023 University of Missouri St. Louis Orchestra, and he participated in his school jazz band. Alex enjoys playing various sports, and spending time with friends and family. He is grateful for his teachers, his school music director, his family, and everyone who has supported him in his music journey. Alex is looking forward to sharing the joy of music with everyone this season.
