April Moon


Co-Principal 2nd Violin Parkway Central High School

April Moon is currently a sophomore at Parkway Central High School. She is part of her school’s Symphonic Orchestra directed by Joseph Bradley. April started playing violin at age eight and had started playing piano at age six. She is currently studying violin with Joo Kim.

Her past ensembles include the Webster’s String Orchestra, the Young People’s Concert Orchestra, and the Young People’s Symphonic Orchestra. Additionally, she participated in Webster’s Preparatory Program last year under the direction of Vera Parkin.  April has also played in her middle school’s pit orchestra for the musical production, “Honk!” and her high school's pit orchestra for "Fiddler on the Roof". She has also played in the Missouri All-State Orchestra for two years. For piano, April has competed in the MMTA state competition and has received honorable mentions in past years.

When April is not playing her violin, she participates in Student Council, Operation 350, and enjoys listening to music. 

April would like to recognize and thank her family, friends, and teachers for providing opportunities and support for her.
