Ayman Amerin

Co-Concertmaster
Fort Zumwalt West High School

Ayman Amerin is a senior at Fort Zumwalt West High School. He has been playing the violin for more than thirteen years and is currently studying under Khrystyne Bunselmeyer.

This is Ayman’s fifth season with the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra. He previously played with the St. Charles County Youth Orchestra for six seasons and was their concertmaster and concerto competition winner (Jr. Division) in his last year. In 2019, Ayman was one of the winners in the Belleville Philharmonic’s ”Stars of Tomorrow” concerto competition. More recently, Ayman was the winner of the 2023 MFMC State Competition and the SLSYO Concerto Competition. For the past three years, Ayman has been part of the St. Louis Metro District 8 High School Orchestra, serving as concertmaster for all three years. He has also been part of the Missouri All-State Orchestra for the past three years, serving as assistant concertmaster his sophomore year. In his free time, Ayman enjoys playing piano and dabbling in other instruments, such as the ukulele and guitar. He is also part of his school’s varsity tennis team and student council.

Ayman would like to thank the following individuals who have influenced his love for music: his orchestra director Daniel Mieloch, his piano teacher Jacqueline Fortier, and especially his violin teacher of over ten years, Khrystyne Bunselmeyer.
