Charles Randall

Charles Randall, age 16, is a junior at Ladue Horton Watkins High School in St. Louis, Missouri. This is Charles’ fifth year as a St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra bassoonist. Charles plays in his school’s Symphonic Band and is a former member of the Webster University Community Music School’s Young People’s Symphonic Orchestra and Young People’s Concert Orchestra. Charles’ musical honors also include Missouri All-State Band, St. Louis All-Suburban Honors Band, and St. Louis Middle School All-Suburban Honors Band.

Outside of music, Charles plays competitive tennis and is a member of his school’s varsity tennis team, helping his team successfully defend their 2022 title to win the Missouri 2023 Class 2 State Championship.

Charles is thankful for the support of his musical educators, including his instructors, Felicia Foland and Donita Bauer, as well as the SLSO musicians and the Ladue Schools band program.
