Portrait of Delia Zacks

Youth Orchestra

Delia Zacks

Co-Principal
Clayton High School

Delia Zacks is currently a senior at Clayton High School. This is her fourth season with the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra. She began playing viola at the age of nine after switching from violin and has spent summers at Interlochen Arts Camp as well as Madeline Island Chamber Music. One of Delia’s favorite ways to engage with music is in chamber groups and she has had the pleasure of participating in two years of a competition-level string quartet with the CMS PREP program including a year as a member of the Rader quartet.

Outside of the arts, Delia enjoys arts and crafts, baking, spending time with her two dogs, and participating in her school’s aquatic sports. She also loves spending time in nature and thinks the true purpose of hiking is walking to cool places to have snacks.

Delia’s musical education and passion for the arts would not have been possible without the support of her family, friends, and the many teachers she has had the pleasure of working with.
