Erik Oswald

Erik Oswald started his double bass journey in 2015 when he was nine years old. Currently, Erik plays with the symphonic orchestra at Parkway West High School. He thanks his many teachers, especially St. Louis Symphony Orchestra members Erik Harris and Brendan Fitzgerald. Previously, Erik has also been a member of the Young People’s Symphonic and Concert Orchestras at the Community Music School of Webster University. Erik was also honored to perform with the Missouri All-State Orchestra. This 2023-24 season will be Erik’s second year with the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra.

Apart from playing the bass, Erik enjoys reading and Taekwondo.
