Kaya McNurlen

Kaya McNurlen is a senior at Timberland High School, and this is her third year in the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra.

In addition to her time in the SLSYO, Kaya has participated in many other performing ensembles including Missouri All-State Orchestra, St. Charles County Youth Orchestra, and All-Suburban Honors Orchestra. Kaya opened a violin studio where she teaches elementary and secondary school students in the spring of 2023. In her free time, Kaya enjoys playing chamber music and spending time with friends.

Kaya would like to thank all of her teachers, including Kirby Kay and her current teacher Winifred Crock, who have guided her in her musical development throughout the past ten years.
