Lillian Smith

Jefferson College

Lillian is 18 years old and is a freshman at Jefferson College where she will be pursuing a career in Radiologic Technology. This is her third year in the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra and she has been playing the viola for 9 years. Lillian was a member of the Community Music School of Webster University’s Young People’s Symphonic Orchestra (YPSO) for 2 years. She was also a member of the Lindbergh High School’s Symphony Orchestra for 3 years and previously taught viola private lessons with the Lindbergh Strings Project.

Lillian has lived in St. Louis her whole life and has two dogs, named Pepper and Iceland. She previously did competitive cheer and dance for 8 years. She has been learning Aerial Silks for the past 5 years. Lillian would like to thank her viola teacher, Anna Lackschewitz, for her unwavering support and encouragement. Without her guidance, making it into the SLSYO would not have been possible.
