Michelle Lu

Michelle Lu is a Senior at Fort Zumwalt West High School. She has been playing the Viola for 7 years and is currently studying under Khrystyne Bunselmeyer. This is Michelle’s third season with the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra. She has previously participated in multiple Community Music School of Webster University programs, including the Young People’s Concert Orchestra for three years. Following this, she also played in the St. Charles County Youth Orchestra for one year. For the past three years, Michelle has been a part of the St. Louis Metro District 8 High School Orchestra, serving as principal for the last two years. She has also been a part of the Missouri All-State Orchestra for two years.

Michelle is also part of her school’s varsity tennis team and varsity track and field team. For the last two years, she has been the girl’s tennis team captain and rank one. She also participates in her school’s student council and hosa club, and furthermore enjoys hanging out with her friends.

Michelle would like to thank her past teachers and supporters who have guided her throughout the years. She would also like to especially thank her orchestra director Daniel Mieloch and her current teacher Khrystyne Bunselmeyer.
