Rachel Li

Co-Principal
Parkway Central High School

Rachel Li, age 17, is a senior at Parkway Central High School. She has played the cello for ten years and is excited for her fifth season with the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra. She previously served as co-principal in the 2022/2023 season.

Rachel has been a member of the Missouri All-State Orchestra for the past three years, and was named associate principal cellist her freshman year and principal her junior year. She has also been part of the Community Music School of Webster University’s Young People’s Concert Orchestra, Young People’s Symphonic Orchestra, and Preparatory Program. Rachel would like to thank Ken Kulosa, her cello teacher, Clay McKinney and Alicia Bont, her orchestra teachers, John Williams for creating the Star Wars soundtrack, her parents, and everyone who has supported and encouraged her love for music.

In addition to playing the cello, Rachel enjoys playing lacrosse, building legos, and taking care of her plants.
