Zachary Foulks is an 18 year-old college sophomore double-majoring in chemistry and biology. Zachary commutes home every weekend from the University of Missouri Science and Technology, located in Rolla, Missouri, to rehearse for his fourth season with the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra. Zachary feels that playing with talented group at Powell Hall is such an honor and privilege. He has been playing clarinet since age 11. Before that he began his musical career learning piano and violin. He wanted to be part of the Lindbergh High School marching band so he decided to study the clarinet.  Zachary has also played trumpet and has been recognized for his skill playing tenor sax.

Some of his numerous musical accomplishments include:
Webster University Young People’s Symphonic Orchestra – featured soloist
Two-time Missouri All State Band – 1st chair clarinet 2015
Missouri All State Jazz Band – tenor sax
JazzU St. Louis All-Star – tenor sax
Four-time All-Suburban Band – 1st chair clarinet 2015

Zachary would like to thank his high school band director, Mr. David Wyss of Lindbergh High School, and his private clarinet teacher, Mrs. Lisa Middlekauff  for giving him guidance and opportunities to reach his potential, and all of his musical friends for their support and encouragement.
