SLSO in the Community
SLSO musicians play an integral role in Greater St. Louis through free community concerts and education programs.
IN UNISON Church Program
For more than 30 years, the SLSO has sponsored the IN UNISON church program, a beautiful partnership with 33 predominantly African-American churches throughout the greater St. Louis area.
IN UNISON Academy
By providing scholarships and fellowship opportunities to young musicians of color pursuing a career in the music industry, IN UNISON Academy gives budding musicians the chance to flourish with SLSO and St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra members.
SymphonyCares
For over a decade, SLSO musicians have performed for patrons who are unable to travel by providing free concerts at various locations throughout Greater St. Louis such as cancer centers, assisted living centers, and more.
Music Without Boundaries
Since 2005, the SLSO has welcomed immigrant and refugee populations to St. Louis through Music Without Boundaries. By providing diverse cultural resources and outreach, the program fosters a greater understanding of and deeper welcome to the diverse St. Louis region.
Peer to Peer
Middle and high school Black and Latinx music students from Gateway Music Outreach are paired with musicians from the SLSO and the YO for development opportunities.
College Connections
Take your students on a comprehensive college visit that includes an overview of our community music programs, an overview and tour of one of our partner colleges, lunch, and a free SLSO chamber concert.
Free Community Concerts
The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra offers dozens of performances throughout the St. Louis area in schools, houses of worship, healthcare facilities, and in public spaces.
Join Our Mission
