Portrait of Ava O'Bryan

Youth Orchestra

Ava O’Bryan

Co-Principal
Parkway Central High School

Ava O’Bryan is 16 years old and attends Parkway Central High School as a junior. This is her second year in the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. She began violin in third grade before switching to viola in seventh grade; she currently plays violin, viola, piano, and participates in choir. She wants to teach music someday, and has started a program at Green Trails Elementary school with her high school director, Alicia Bont, to work with young string students. Previously, she has won two gold awards at the state level of solo and ensemble and played at Carnegie Hall with her school orchestra. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, and composing. She would like to thank the entire Parkway Central music department as well as her wonderful family, her friends, and her lesson teacher, Chris Tantillo.
