Ivy Wang

Marquette High School

Ivy Wang is currently 15 years old and is a sophomore at Marquette High School. This is her second year in the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra.

Ivy has been playing the oboe for 4 years. Prior to this, she played the piano and violin. Ivy is incredibly grateful for the people who have helped guide and support her, and the people who have helped her foster her love and passion for music. These people include her current oboe teacher Xiomara Mass, her former oboe teacher Cassie Loy, her middle school band directors Jason Bergman, Mike Owens, and Robert Wilhite, her high school band directors Christian Pierce and Kaylin Knost and her friends and family.

Outside of music, Ivy spends much of her free time drawing, reading, and occasionally cooking.
