Extra Credit
On Stage At Powell

The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra honors the important work of school music educators with a biennial concert: Extra Credit On Stage At Powell. In this unique concert experience, music educators share the stage with SLSO musicians in a free concert for the community. Begun in 2017 and continued in 2019, Extra Credit draws large crowds to Powell Hall and fulfills the dreams of many music educators to perform with a professional orchestra in a celebrated concert hall. In the two concerts since the inception of Extra Credit, musicians have performed works by Alexander Borodin, Antonín Dvořák, Edvard Grieg, Modest Mussorgsky, Maurice Ravel, Bedřich Smetana, Dmitri Shostakovich, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and John Williams.
